Adelsheim Pinot Noir Grapes

We are having a special wine dinner, May 11, 2013 beginning at 6:30pm with Michael Adelsheim of Adelsheim Vineyards. As one of Oregon’s founding wineries, our history is long and varied. From planting the first vineyard in the early 1970’s to farming 237 acres in the north Willamette Valley today, a great deal of learning, experimentation and collaboration has contributed to our company’s and our region’s success.

We are showcasing five of their wonderful wines on Saturday evening along with a five course paired dinner for $45 per person plus tax and gratuity.

 

2011 Adelsheim Pinot Gris, Willamette Valley, Oregon

Hints of papaya, apples and pears. It pulls off the difficult feat of providing a gentle creaminess that lends a rich, mouthfilling texture and long finish, yet still impressing as a wine that’s crisp and clean.

2010 Adelsheim Catlin’s Reserve Chardonnay, Oregon

The very complex aroma profile of this wine shows artful layers of hazelnuts, lemon blossom, fresh apples, honey and baking spices. Beautifully balanced on the palate by the vibrant acidity found in our Northern wine region, it features a long, polished finish and a rich, velvety mouthfeel.

2011 Adelsheim Pinot Noir, Willamette Valley, Oregon

Red aromas of candied cherry, pomegranate and raspberry on the nose and the palate. In addition, one finds a light touch of brown spices; nutmeg, cinnamon, all-spice. True to our house style, it is elegantly textured with seamlessly integrated, silky, polished tannins.

2010 Adelsheim Elizabeth Reserve Pinot Noir, Willamette Valley,Oregon

Layered aromas of red raspberries, fresh Oregon strawberries, brown spice and cedar. Its aromas are reflected on a palate that speaks of purity and elegance, and is exceptionally balanced with silky tannins and a persistent finish.

2011 Adelsheim Deglace dessert wine Pinot Noir, Oregon (375ml)

Made from frozen Pinot noir grapes. This dessert wine has elegant strawberry, nectarine, and orange blossom aromas, and a luscious mouthfeel.
