2011 Runquist Primitivo, Nostro Vino Vineyards, Amador County, California
Carmine-purple color of medium depth. The aromas are of red currants, cherries, and red raspberries. There are also hints of pastry spice; nutmeg, cinnamon, and vanilla. On the palate succulent red fruit flavors mingle with those of mocha, toast and well seasoned oak. This is a plush red wine; the tannins are mature and well balanced which makes for a soft smooth finish. ~winemakers notes
2012 Force of Nature Cabernet Sauvignon, Mossfire Ranch, Paso Robles, California
Very deep garnet in color with a hint of purple, the Force of Nature 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon has pronounced notes of ripe black cherry and currant with some tar, mint, licorice and roasted coffee beans. Full-bodied with firm grainy tannins and crisp acid, it has plenty of expressive dark berry fruit and earth flavors, finishing long and lingering notes of cloves and anise. Drink it now to 2020+. ~R Murray
2010 Runquist Cabernet Sauvignon, Rancho Sarco Vineyard, Napa, California
A lively purple color of moderate depth and youthful garnet hues. The aroma’s leading actors are black currants and cedar with supporting roles provided by graphite and mint. A bouquet originating from two years of aging in deeply toasted French oak barrels provides a background of dark chocolate for the dense black fruits. Bright flavors of black cherry, juniper, and cassis are delivered on a lean texture that makes a smooth transition to a seamless finish that contains nuances of smoked wood and chalky dust. The tradition of balancing just the right amount tannins with the wine’s flavor and depth continues. ~winemakers notes
2004 Reynolds Family Winery ‘Persistence’ red wine, Napa, California
cabernet sauvignon, cabernet franc, merlot and Syrah
Big and luscious! This hearty Napa red blend delivers some major league fruit with flavors of Bing cherries, deep blueberries, dark chocolate and a shot of exotic spices.
2010 Reynolds Family Winery ‘Persistence’ red wine, Napa, California
Purple black color. Aromas and flavors of chocolate covered blueberries, creamy mocha, and delicate peppery spices with a silky, fruity-yet-dry medium body and a tangy, sour cherry, nut, cedar, and sweet spice accented finish. Great structure and vibrancy.
