2013 Nine Walks Sauvignon Blanc, Marlborough, New Zealand
The initial impression on first picking up the glass is one of fine, subtle ripeness; fruit aromas of super ripe gooseberry and yellow grapefruit with fleeting overtones of white blossom floral. With time in the glass and a generous swirl, the fruitier elements are given greater depth and complexity by signature greener notes of asparagus and dried herb. Plump and round in the mouth with a desirably smooth texture and fine juicy acids; flavors mirror those of the nose with enhanced by a slightly tropical twist. The finish is clean and fresh. ~wine makers notes
2011 Manuscript Limited Edition Pinot Noir, Central Coast, California
This plush Pinot Noir offers strawberry aromas kissed with cedar and crème fraiche. Focused tannins support rich flavors of black cherry, lychee and pomegranate, with overtones of vanilla and toast. ~wine makers notes
2013 The Crossings Pinot Noir, Marlborough, New Zealand
Pinot Noir is naturally suited to the soils and climate of The Crossings’ higher altitude upper valley vineyards from which the grapes are sourced. This wine is matured in French barriques and presents lifted aromas of violets and cherries, underpinned by savory notes. Cherry and berry fruits on the palate knit together with subtle oak and fine tannins to produce a wine with great finesse. ~web site
