Wednesday Night Wine Taste, April 6, 2016

Join us Wednesday evening for our weekly wine tasting featuring five wines. This week we are featuring a Wine Gallery favorite with the 2013 Walt La Brisa Pinot Noir. Previously this wine has sold in Ohio for $44 a bottle. We are featuring the current vintage for only $35 a bottle. Stop in for a taste or two.

2013 Landmark Vineyards ‘Overlook’ Chardonnay, Sonoma County, CA.

Bright, medium gold color with complex aromas of ripe pear, Meyer lemon, sage and lemon curd. On the palate flavors of quince, pear blossom, apricot, and piecrust are balanced by lively citrus notes completing this refreshing wine.


2013 Walt ‘La Brisa’ Pinot Noir, Sonoma County, California

Vibrant and opulent with an underlying brightness and length to the palate. Teeming with ripe red berries and spicy toasted aromas, the wine is lush and persistent on the mid-palate while long-lasting and delicate on the finish.


2014 Recanati Yasmin Red, Galilee, Israel

An appealing ruby red with a bouquet that is lively, youthful, fruit-filled fragrance The palate is supple and medium-bodied, with an abundance of ripe red berry fruit. Kosher for Passover and Mevushal.


2013 Justin Cabernet Sauvignon, Paso Robles, California

Clear with a dark ruby purple core lightening at the rim. Aromatic with ripe black cherry, blackcurrant and berry fruit with vanilla, cinnamon and subtle dried fall leaf accents. Classic cabernet with moderate plus blackcurrant and cherry fruit and baking spice flavors on the entry. Sweet tobacco and savory herbal notes arrive on the mid palate, along with beautifully balanced tannins that provide a structure that supports the wine through its perfectly balanced, clean finish.


2011 Rocche Costamagna Barolo, DDOCG, Italy

Deep garnet red. Rich and persistent bouquet with charming notes of plums, cherry, raspberry, violets. Balanced and elegant in the mouth with pleasant tannins. Long finish that reminds one of ripe red fruits. Previous vintages have been rated 92-94 points.
