Wednesday Night Wine Tasting, January 11, 2017

Join us Wednesday evening beginning at 5:30pm for our weekly wine tasting. This Wednesday we will also have a wine and food pairing tasting. Enjoy all five wines paired with food for only $21 plus tax and gratuity. This week we are featuring wines from Pali Wine Company. Reservations recommend and walk-ins are welcome. 2014 Pali Wine Co. ‘Charm Acres’ Chardonnay, Sonoma County, CA.

Paired with House made clam Chowder
Bright golden straw color with brilliant clarity. The Charm Acres is the perfect choice for those who prefer a Chardonnay that is minimally oaked, with light, bright and lively flavors. The nose abounds with aromas of honeysuckle, wet gravel, Creme Brulee, baked apricots and lemon peel. On the palate you discover fresh stone fruits like peaches and apricots swirling together with limestone and sea salt, all bound together by refreshing acidity and just a hint of toasted oak. ~Winemakers Notes


2015 Pali Wine Co. ‘Alphabets’ Pinot Noir, Willamette Valley, Oregon

Paired with Turkey stuffed puff pastry
This wine is bright cranberry in color and light in body. The nose is filled with butterscotch, followed by subtle aromas of cherry, cranberry and forest floor. True to the Oregon style, with hints of tea, tart apple, and earthy notes on the palate with a soft finish. ~Winemakers Notes


2012 Pali Wine Co. ‘Huntington’ Pinot Noir, Santa Barbara County, CA.

Paired with Meatballs in a mushroom cream sauce
Its deep purple hue reflects its density. Full of wild berries, white pepper, violets and a touch of light oak. A full mouth feel of sweet black cherry, cinnamon, milk chocolate finishing with sea salt. No. 86 on the Top 100 WS 2014


2013 Pali Wine Co. ‘Bluffs’ Pinot Noir, Russian River Valley, CA.

Paired with Apple smoked ham and gruyere cheese sandwich
Dark ruby color, aromatic nose and balanced, pretty composition. An explosion of black cherry, boysenberry and blueberries meet the nose, followed by floral notes. On the palate, there are dark berries, currant, and pink peppercorn. The finish is long, with lingering earthy notes. ~Winemakers Notes


2011 Pali Wine Co. ‘Windsor Oaks Vineyards’, Pinot Noir, Russian River Valley, CA.

Paired with double chocolate brownie bites
Sweet ripe raspberry and black cherry erupt from the glass. Plush, dense tannins deliver a rich mouthfeel layered with blackberries, plums and red fruits synonymous with Russian River. ~Winemakers Notes. Rated 92pts RP.
